A Counselor at Law, not just an Attorney at Law
I take to heart the title “Counselor at Law” and serve that purpose for all my clients on every case. Many people come to me because they are in a difficult and scary situation. It is hard to weed through the stress to get to the heart of the problem. Hence, they are looking for more than an attorney that will draft paperwork and try the case. They are looking for someone who will take the time to explain the situation. This is why I serve as a “counselor at law” as well as an “attorney at law”. Serving in this role provides both the best outcome for my client and becomes the most enjoyable part of my day.
I take pride in teaching my clients the process of their case. I walk my clients through every step of the process and not only tell them what to do, but why we are doing it. I will show every option available to handle the legal matter. We will discuss the pros and cons of each option. We make no decision on a case without the client’s input and knowledge about the reason for doing so.
Outside of the office I like to devote volunteer time to Join Hands, ESL. Join Hands is a group in East St. Louis dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in the area. Otherwise, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and beautiful daughter. This means running from swing set to swing set at the park or reading the latest favorite book over and over. We also take many trips to the hardware store to work on the DIY projects all around the house. On nicer weekends, we will be at a campsite with our pop-up camper.
